I made it ok thanks to the Swiss ladies pointing out the correct Ferry but had to wait an hour for it to cross. All of this time the clouds were building up. Eventually we started to board but in the distance was thunder and lightening. All of a sudden we had it right over our heads. I thought on a metal ship in the middle of a river is probably not the best place to be. I did happen to notice l was one of the taller people on the ferry. So l did a bit of my Peter Sellers Toulouse LeTrec impression. When we got to the other side we all got off pretty sharpish. It was still flashing and loud and l had to cross a small island so put my foot down. Just made it over the bridge and there was an almighty crack. That was enough l pulled into a Tesco Supermarket. Out of the blue l had a very strong smell of fresh bread that l could not ignore, so went into Tesco and went to the bakery but out was not from there so l went back outside but the smell had gone. I think it was a phenomenon as people sometimes get when smelling burnt toast prior to a heart attack.
